Last month, Tecno launched three POP branded entry-level smartphones such as POP 5, POP 5 Pro, and POP 5X. POP 5S is the latest POP-series phone to go official. Now, it has announced the Tecno POP 5S smartphone in Mexico. Here is all the information on the specs, features, and pricing of the POP 5S.
The Tecno POP 5S has a 5.7-inch LCD display with a teardrop notch and a thick chin. The screen offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels and an 84 percent screen-to-body ratio. It features a front camera of 2-megapixel with LED flash. The device lacks support for a fingerprint scanner, but it is equipped with face unlock feature.
The rear side of the phone has a 5-megapixel main camera, which is coupled with an AI lens and LED flash. Speaking of design, its rear shell sports an attractive dual-tone finish. A speaker grille is also available on the backside of the device.
The POP 5S is driven by the modest Unisoc SC98632E quad-core processor that clocks at 1.4GHz. The device offers users 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of native storage. Present under the hood of the device is a 3,020mAh battery, which can be charged through a microUSB port. For audiophiles, it features a 3.5mm audio jack. It comes with other features such as dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.2 The handset measures 148 x 72.3 x 9.9mm and weighs 160 grams.
