Step 1: Connect to Wi-Fi
First and foremost, we need to connect the phone to a Wi-Fi network. To do this, we click on All Wi-Fi Networks and select our desired Wi-Fi connection. After choosing the network, we will proceed to connect. Please note that getting your phone ready may take some time, so let’s fast-forward the video a bit.
Step 2: Existing Device Verification
After the connection, we will encounter a screen asking us to log in. Here, we have options to log in using the verified pattern that was previously set on this phone, or we can use a Google account that was also logged in earlier. Since many of us don’t remember the previous pattern or Google account details, we will move forward with bypassing the FRP.
Step 3: Accessing the Bypass Menu
Next, we will go back to the previous screen. To initiate the bypass, here’s what you need to do:
- Press and hold both volume buttons (up and down) simultaneously.
- Once that is done, we will activate the TalkBack shortcut.
- After this, press the volume buttons again, and the Welcome to TalkBack option will appear.
Step 4: Enabling Permissions
Now, we will need to create an inverted “L” shape on the screen, which allows us to enable the permissions. After allowing the permission, we will use Voice Command to open Google Assistant.
Sometimes, invoking Google Assistant requires a couple of attempts, so if it doesn’t respond at first, try saying “Open Google Assistant” again. This will unlock the required option.

Once Google Assistant is open, we will orally ask it to “Open Easy Share.” However, if it does not catch your request correctly, just type “Open Easy Share” manually on the search box.
Congratulations! The Easy Share app should now open. After this, let’s enable the function on the phone.

Once Easy Share is enabled, we will choose the option that reads, “This is a new phone.” At this point, we will grant all necessary permissions requested by the app.
Soon after, the QR code scan option will appear on your screen, and we’ll set up the phone accordingly. For this step, we will require another phone for scanning the QR code. It can be any phone from any brand; there’s no specific requirement here.
Step 7: Using Another Phone for QR Code Scanning
Now, let’s shift our focus to the second phone. We need to open the Play Store on this device and download the Easy Share app if it’s not already installed.
Step 8: Downloading Easy Share
- Search for Easy Share in the Play Store.
- Click on the install button to download the app.
- Once downloaded, open the app on the second phone.
- Now, we will use this phone to scan the QR code displayed on the Vivo Y16.
Step 9: Completing the Setup
After scanning the QR code, follow any on-screen instructions that may appear. Ensure all permissions are granted on both phones for a smooth operation.
Once the setup is complete, your Vivo Y16 should be bypassed from the FRP lock. You can now access all features of your phone seamlessly.
