Ive called several members of the house transportation committee to say since the EPA imposed these emissions devices, they should be financially responsible to keep them in good working order and liable for any damage to the vehicle should a component fail OR allow the devices to be removed when the warranty is expired on them.

Here in the states they choking our trucks and cars and economy with regulations… doesn’t make sense to built 100,000 trucks that are “cleaner” but only last 5 years instead of 10,000 trucks that will last 50 years… at the end reliable trucks have more value all around than the new disposable trucks that they say are cleaner but are unaffordable and only last few years

  5. I love how the EPA is suddenly blind to emissions when it comes to gov vehicles, not a single gov diesel vehicle has emissions. I've seen with my own eyes, gov F250's deleted from the factory! They KNOW emissions are trash and cause MORE emissions and waste but they don't care. It's a circle jerk that keeps bureaucrats employed, that's all.

  6. I have my dads 2008 ford ford f250 super duty that has a 6.4 diesel… a few people told me to get rid of it because it will give me problems.
    The truck is from Alabama, has 159000 miles on it, has no rust and is not driven in New England winters at where it is now. I already had the exhaust manifolds, hardened exhaust manifold studs replaced along with new up pipes to the turbo. I have noticed that the engine oil tends to start to fill up with in around 2000 miles or so. I believe that might be when the truck goes into cleaning mode and injects fuel into the last 2 cylinders during the exhaust stroke. Correct me if I’m wrong,
    Is it worth keeping? It’s paid for, plus I put 4 calipers, 4 rotors, pads and a left front wheel bearing.
    What are the best delete systems out there?

  7. Idk why people think chevron is really going to open the floodgates up like it’s 2008 again & companies are going to start openly building/selling delete hardware & software in the USA again. The epa will still be able to go after those companies & take them to court.

    I could see where maybe it’ll allow some more people/companies will start doing emissions present tunes without having to jump through all the epa’s hoops to get certification.

  8. Actually, go back in history. Our great country was founded & developed by change. Whale oil killed excessive amounts of creatures. So society switched to lard – pig oil. While trains ran on steam engine powered by coal fired systems. Think they enjoyed switching fuels? Technology is a great thing. Maybe you're missing the real facts. Diesel emissions, especially a garage without proper ventilation, is a huge cause for lung cancer. Seatbelts save lives. Go ahead and try riding some of the fastest, wildest roller coasters without them. Regulations do have positive outcomes. The locks on your vehicle lifts – mandatory. Electrical wiring codes, mandatory. Yes, you can choose to disable any or all your safety items. My truck without def system blows black sooty exhaust. Not healthy. Better mileage? Sure. Wasn't that much better. So we can agree to disagree. I like seatbelts. And clean air, and clean water. And catching fish because regulations allow us. Otherwise, there wouldn't be any fish or wildlife to hunt.

    Crazy how they built an industry around a lie. DEF (sure wish I could think of a witty acronym right now)

    Anyway, a product that requires untold amounts of rare earth materials to be mined (much of it by children in dangerous conditions and very little pay), shipped, which is costly and no doubt contributes vast amounts of pollution that they're supposedly fighting. Taking those costly rare earth materials and and putting them into ungodly expensive converters that constantly foul up, most often requiring expensive mechanics to either clean them if your lucky, replace them if you aren't.
    On top of that they basically ruin your engine and destroys gas mileage.
    And then you have the bullshit fluid you're forced to buy. Delivered by diesel trucks that now have shitty gas mileage and companies that need to replace entire fleets of trucks more often because of the aforementioned bullshit.

    I'd like to meet the greasy bastard that thought of this scheme and no doubt gotten very wealthy. And the palms he greased.

    How this farce has continued for this long is actually quite remarkable. If I were an evil person then I think it'd probably be pretty easy to become rich because so few people speak up and maybe people are just gullable, or just that dimwitted these days that shit like this happens.

    Anyway, good thing that got struck down. Those judges should now start looking at many of those other 3 letter agencies running amok and a justice system that is clearly compromised.

  10. Let's just be clear on one thing, the laws don't dictate anything we can and can't do, they just allow the government to fine us or prosecute us if they determine we meet the criteria of a law. Now, the way we've allowed laws to be written lately that would make it seem the contrary…. as you pointed out with the Chevron deference. The fact the courts were able to get this done is a sign there is still hope for us to maintain some freedom in this country. I disagree on the comment about diesels being cleaner with everything taken off… but it shouldn't be up to the government as to who is right and who is wrong.

  11. The EPA doesn't "enact any laws" Never ever have. Congress and the Chief Executive (aka The President) enact laws. Legislators write legislation proposed and then reviewed by committee ( testimony from EPA "experts" ) and submitted to the Speak of the House for a vote. It then passes to the Upper Chamber (commonly known as The Senate) and voted on when the President of the Senate (VP of the United States on federal level) brings it up for a vote. Upon passing both chambers( sometimes they send it back to the lower house or sometimes they create or modify the legislation which is sent BACK and voted on IF the Speaker wants to keep the bill alive) it then heads to the desk of the Chief Executive for signing into law and execution of an order to enforce what is at that point The Law of the Land until it isn't. Even after it is signed into law. A company such as Chevron or Loper Bright and many others can challenge the constitutionality of the law or more over portions of it. Say how like GRA or CU bring cases against certain portions of 2nd amendment regulations that the ATFE try to enforce like Bumpstock Rule or 80%. Your use of language is atrocious. I get how passionate and driven to educate people you are. I've been doing it all of my 40 plus years in my career as an automotive shop owner. I was pleased to see that you encourage people to wait it out. Being the test case, well someone is going to do it, but let it be Gale Banks( he's already been in the fight for decades, his company has been planning this fight since whispers of the challenge began when Loper entered the fight 20+ years ago, HIS expertise is above reproach on the topic) same for FDA EPA SEC and FCC all are going to face challenges but it will be about 2 things. First who's ready with their fight and who stands to bring the most ROI to the investors in the fight. It takes MONEY to make this shit happen. Money is why those agencies were powerful. Suppressing technologies for their benefactors. Big Pharma and 2A will be in a race to be heard and probably only be behind some massive mining company like the Gold Coast or Copper n Coal to kick EPA's ass again. See, court cases require STANDING to be heard and move forward. 2 tests are required for standing ( damages) he suffered them in many ways ( can the court offer remedy, financial or otherwise) if test 1 is Y then test 2 is applied and yeah any court in his case could offer remedy. So who suffered provable damages at the hands of EPA, NHTSA, OSHA, … and can they prove those damages. It's going to take a lot to get the ship righted BUT Chevron was on hell of a bilge pump handed to The People.

  12. Sorry, I have to disagree. You said at the 9:20 mark that diesels will run cleaner after deleting the emission systems. Specifically that can not be true of the DEF and NOx reduction systems. It is not possible to tune an internal combustion engine to not generate NOx. The combustion temperatures are just too high for this. It seems to be a common myth in these circles that these emissions and their treatment systems are all somehow phony or fictitious or made up. Just because they are not well understood by people does not mean they are not real. I worked for a number of years on alternative NOx reduction technologies and competed against SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) systems and know for a fact that they work and are quite effective. This technology has been in use on large scale power plants for decades and helped keep quite a lot of forest intact by avoiding acid rain production. Now don't get me wrong. I hate the EPA holding me hostage with the mandated controls on my baby Duramax, but I know they work and some form of abatement is needed. The area of government over reach is another related topic and I tend to align with you better on that topic. My take away is that you feel you should be able to pollute and I have a hard time agreeing with that. By the same token, I do agree that regulations need an adjustment to be more realistic and pragmatic.
