Some of the high relation NPC will have quest to take them somewhere. You can use this to add an additional NPC to fight with you as long as you don't get to the destination.

Story Tip. SPOILER:
When you get the quest in Battahl to collect 15 of a certain dragon item, DO NOT turn them in to the quest giver until you have completed everything in the game you wanted to.
This quest is the Point Of No Return any left over quests or unfinished business will be locked off once you hand in the materials and unfinished quests will be marked as failed.
Get your trickster to level two and you unlock a perk called detection that makes it a lot easier to find seeker tokens and wakestones, the seeker tokens will have an audible bing that gets more constant as you get closer and they flash so you can actually find them rather than just randomly stumble across them
